Database Administrator Lead

Seeking an Infrastructure ORACLE DBA with Experience with administration of Databases on AWS Cloud using RDS and/or EC2.
Should Demonstrate recent, professional exposure to support alternate RDBMS database flavors like MS SQLSERVER, Postgres, Aurora, & NoSQL.
Responsibilities:
Performs all Oracle Database Administration related activities for major projects independently with minimal supervision.
Experience in managing, maintaining, patching, upgrading and ensuring operational continuity of the Oracle Database and associated components using the following Oracle products:
Oracle Enterprise Manager Oracle Data Guard.
Oracle Recovery Manager Oracle RAC implementation Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM) Oracle Golden Gate Participates in projects as assigned providing expertise related to Cloud Database Architecture (AWS or Azure).
Analyzes database and information needs of projects and applications in order to recommend and implement cost-effective solutions.
Good UNIX, Linux knowledge and scripting is a must.
Troubleshoot and resolve RAC and Redhat clustering issues in all database environments Schedules and coordinates database maintenance activities.
Strong capability and ability to resolve highly technical and complex database and infrastructure related issues on their own before they impact production and business.
Provides technical expertise to the development of solutions for such items as DBMS tools and utilities usage, database administration, backup and recovery, database performance tuning and monitoring.
Ability to influence development organizations to comply with database best practices and database standards and practices.
Runs transaction access path analysis sessions with application developers, analyzing specifications and code to ensure that data access and database designs are as efficient as possible.
Make recommendations for improvements in these areas, if necessary.
Assures quality of database analysis and design across projects, thus enabling company-wide data reusability.
Trouble-shoots database and/or software problems as they apply to design, implementation, or installation activities.
Schedules and coordinates database maintenance activities including such items as database reorganizations and restructures.
Coordinates and/or participates in database stress tests, analyzes results, and makes recommendations for design or coding changes based upon those results.
Participates in on-call, overnight off-hour production problem resolution activities.
Develops and maintains DBMS related standards and procedures, knows where they are located, and makes full use of them.
Follows software development processes.
Researches, evaluates, and tests new software and DBMS related tools and facilities as they pertain to the existing DBMS environment, database designs, procedures, and applications.
Monitors current DBMS performance and develops procedures, where necessary, to improve the DBMS environment as required.
Identifies and supports quality improvement initiatives.
Performs other assignments to comply with the SR&T corporate purpose and mission to add business value, increase revenue, decrease costs, improve productivity, and support the strategic initiative/directive.
Complies with all security and audit standards.
Ensures security of company information by ensuring database is secure and monitors environment to identify improper access.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
10-12 years of experience, with at least the last 5-7 years as Lead Oracle DBA on all aspects of Oracle Database Administration in a large/challenging database environment.
Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Jenkins) & container technologies (Docker, CoreOS) is a plus.
Experience supporting internet/web based database applications with heavy concurrent user volume.
Experience working on RAC database applications, OEM, RMAN, Data guard & Golden Gate.
Skilled in SQL statement tuning with detailed understating of AWR and StatsPack reports, database performance tuning.
Experience operating in traditional and agile project models Willingness to work on-call DBA rotations in a 7x24 environment Strong Interpersonal skills to resolve problems in a professional manner, lead working groups, negotiate, and create consensus with both internal associates and external customers.
Proficient at time and priority management.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
