Summary: The Operations Controller will be responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting and financial reporting activities within the Operations Organization. The Controller will work closely with the Operations Department Leaders and their staffs, not only to educate them regarding finance and accounting procedures but also to explore how the finance and accounting function can support company-wide initiatives and better integrate finance and accounting with operational groups.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
Ensure proper controls over Service Center related invoices and processing including parts control inventory and physical inventories of axles and chassis at our Service Centers
Ensure proper controls over axle and chassis inventories at third party depots
Manage internal manual invoice receipt through the Berkheimer system
Manage vendor EDI invoice reporting of rejected invoices
Develop a more granular view of vendor invoices to aid management in the decision making process - ie breakout of handling details from storage invoices
Manage the fleet from a dormancy perspective - ensure proper controls over fleet that has not moved for a prolonged period of time
Management of cooping program reporting
Reconcile our contribution of chassis into CCM and Co-op pools to tie the costs with our associated revenues (West Coast especially)
Manage cost center reporting
Maintain all PO logs
Maintain all tire logs
Maintain EZ Pay PO log
Ensure vendor compliance with insurance requirements
Ensure vendor compliance with contracts (ie obtain signed contracts)
Work with planning to develop the annual operating cost budget
Review and approve monthly variance analysis of costs versus budget
Review and approve weekly cost estimates for Dashboard
Review and approve monthly Business Review package related to Operations
Coordinate monthly Maintenance and Repair accrual with FP&A
Automation of expense reporting via data warehouse capabilities
Provide direction to repair, refurbish or scrap of chassis returned to the fleet

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience in finance
3 years of controllership type experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams
Strong supervisory and leadership abilities
Specific experience in the intermodal or transportation industries preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to quickly adapt to change
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA preferred
Ability to learn and adapt to in-house system applications
Must be detail-oriented, accurate, and inquisitive
Ability to identify problems, process resolution and implement action or solution timely
Ability to function effectively in a fast paced, team oriented work environment
Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workloads
Competently handle competing, multiple tasks simultaneouslyEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
