Practice Manager Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a Registered Nurse Practice Manager for our busy Hospitalist Practice in beautiful Princeton New Jersey. A short drive to the beautiful Jersey shore beaches, wonderful restaurants and shopping of downtown Princeton New Jersey and a hour train ride to Manhattan
The Practice Manager will be responsible to plan, organize, coordinate and oversee the overall operation of the Hospitalist practice at Riverview Medical Center and Bayshore Hospital
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Practice Manager will be assisting the Hospitalist:
o Promotes the Mission and Vision of the organization
o Works collaboratively with medical and clinical staff, Hospital administration, Hospitalist personnel and PPE to implement policies and procedures.
o Attend Hospitalist patient rounds
o Patient discharge follow up phone calls
o Assist in coordinating follow up care with community physicians/outpatient clinics for patients
o Assist in coordinating appropriate transition of care to long term care or rehab facilities
o Follow up with physicians in the community to assure they are notified of patients' discharge and that they receive appropriate discharge summaries
o Assist in following up on patient or family concerns
o Rounds on new patients and while in the hospital providing a welcoming packet and addressing and questions or concerns for them
o Triage phone calls to providers during normal business hours
o Update the names / contact information and preferences of medical staff desiring to utilize the Hospitalist services. Upon request of medical staff member, or as requested by the Program Director, provide Hospitalist service preference forms, maintain files and notify providers of any changes. Coordinate / communicate such updates to the hospital medical staff office and the Emergency Department.
o Research new PCP's and verify phone and fax numbers for the providers
o Assist the Medical Director and Director of Clinical Services in monitoring quality indicators and the developing and implementation of quality initiatives.
o Assists in the development and use of PI monitoring tools for the practices and monitoring of PI results.
o Completes departmental-related reports as required or requested
o Assists in preparation for regulatory review of the Department as requested/needed.
o Coordinates pertinent educational programs for physicians, licensed independent practitioners, and staff members
o Meets regularly with physicians and clinical staff to discuss operational issues; works cooperatively with Medical Director to establish agenda and action plans.
o Assist with distributing hospital census to team.
o Distribute patient census with associated provider to nursing units, Emergency Department and any other areas as needed per client.
o Print (or view) hospital Admission, Discharge & Transfer Census and reconcile against Daily Census List
o Coordinates documentation and billing education with PPE/PBC to optimize revenue while maintaining compliance
o Monitors documentation compliance
o Coordinates with Medical Records Department to address documentation issues with MDs and licensed independent practitioners
o Coordinates with PPE/PBC and clinical staff to implement an effective and appropriate billing process.
o Coordinates with Coder and Chart Coordinator to address and respond to billing inquiries with providers
o Maintains confidentiality of all physician, staff and organizational information according to policies and procedures.
o Follows all established organizational policies and procedures.
o Assists with need for supplies, equipment, space and other resources for the department while maintaining a cost conscious attitude
o Maintain supply of printed materials for providers
o Maintain updated contact list (team phone numbers, pagers) and an update program/site profile
o Assist Client Services with updating of credentials (license/UPIN/NPI)
o Verify IC/Locum/Contracted provider hours on timesheet.
o Accept as requested, registered and express mail and ensure that urgent mails are reviewed by the appropriate physician in a timely fashion. As outlined by program Medical Director, or Director of Clinical Services, establish an organized physician review and filing process for all patient lab data / final reports (radiology, pathology, etc.) to prioritize physician review and appropriate patient/PCP follow-up for abnormal ancillary test findings. Establish physician in-box files for such reports.
o Follows proper safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment
o Adheres to Dress Code
Qualifications:
Related education, training, experience required:
o Licensed Nurse RN
o Well-developed communication and prioritizing skills.
o Computer proficiency with emphasis on basic word processing and spreadsheet applications in a Windows environment
o Ability to process assigned duties in an efficient and organized manner and meet expectations of the practice
o Close attention to detail
o Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
o Ability to identify, research, and resolve problems and discrepancies.?
o Ability to work extra hours and put forth extra effort when needed

o Significant experience managing and developing programs and/or practices
o Experience with system design and implementation
o Significant knowledge of billing and documentation standards
o Knowledge of regulatory agencies and requirements

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
