Our client, a leader in the Transporation industry is seeking a Tax Associate to work in their Princeton corporate headquarters.
Position Summary
Responsible for all aspects of federal and state income tax compliance. Preparation of sales and property tax returns, tax correspondence, monthly sales tax account analysis, extensions, and estimated payments. This position also has responsibility for helping the Senior Tax Accountant manage the tax department programs (
i.e., One Sources, etc.) and tax research relating to compliance, audits, and planning.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
o
Compile data and prepare federal and state income and franchise tax returns utilizing tax software or systems as directed.

o Manage software systems (e.g., One Source, Tax Calendar, etc.) and program oversight.
o Prepare monthly sales tax returns and annual property tax renditions.
o Calculate and make quarterly estimated tax payments.
o Prepare annual filing extensions and information reports.
o Analyze & reconcile income tax accounts as required and interact with accounting group accordingly.
o Research issues related to state income tax planning, audit issues and special projects.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications
o
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. Minimum 2 years work experience REQUIRED

o Effective verbal and written communication, organizational, and analytical abilities required.
o Computer competencies working with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Power Point) and tax software (preferably One Source) is essential. Experience with One Source Provision & Income Tax a plus.
o Experience with CCH Research Tool a plus.
o Public accounting or private experience. Big 4 experience a plus.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
