Job Summary :
Senior .NET Developer responsible for developing business applications for retail credit card applications. Highly technical, motivated individual capable of working through all phases of the software development life cycle.
Job Description :
The Senior .NET Developer will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, writing functional requirements, designing technical solutions, coding, testing, and deploying application enhancement releases for the card management system which serves over 400 North American corporations and government agencies.
The Senior .NET Developer will interact with the Development Project Leader, the development, testing, and production support teams, as well as other departments such as the System Administrators, Database Administrators, Data Center Operations, and Change Control groups for projects.
Key Responsibilities :
Design, code, test, document and implement application release projects as part of a development team.
Communicate with business partners to understand requirements and prepare functional specifications.
Proactively notify Development Project Leader of risks, bottlenecks, problems, issues, and concerns.
Compliance with System Development Lifecycle and Information Security requirements.
Key Challenges :
Managing time and changing priorities in a dynamic environment
Ability to provide quick turnaround to production software issues and management requests
Ability to assimilate key issues and concepts and come up to speed quickly
Technical Skills :
Candidate is currently performing at the Senior Programmer/Analyst level or above
Candidate has 5
years of programming experience in a structured technical environment
Experience with SQL Server database, .NET framework, C#, Active Server Pages
Systems integration experience with web services and SOA experience is a plus
Understanding of internetworking concepts, firewall, communication protocols is a plus
Key Competencies :
Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
Demonstrated sense of responsibility and capability to deliver quickly
Excellent communication skills. Clearly articulating and documenting technical and functional specifications is a key requirement.
