Our client, located in Cranbury, NJ is seeking a .NET Software Engineer for an immediate contract to hire position. Details include:

This role is responsible for the design, development and testing of various software components in a variety of enterprise class software systems designed to support the news content management and distribution goals. The software engineer will both develop custom applications as well as integrate with a variety of packaged software applications.
This position is for a Miscrosoft .NET developer who will be responsible for designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and orchestrating solutions using the latest MS technologies. This resource should have a well-balanced hands-on experience with the .NET framework, Visual Studio environment, and C# language. In-depth knowledge of software design patterns is a big plus and good experience in Integration and messaging patterns.
Responsibilities
-Design and build software components as part of multiple project teams of different sizes
- Produce design related documentation in different forms, per project requirements
-Quickly provide realistic estimates for planned work and be able to clearly explain the estimates
-Deliver testable code, regularly conduct unit testing, and work within a continuous integration environment
-Support the quality assurance group during functional and regression testing of software.
-Follow application development standards based on Microsoft best practices

Qualifications
-Expertise with .Net framework, XML, XSD, XSLT, Web Services, WCF, Workflow and SQL Server
-Experience using Change Management tools
- UI and Web development experience is a big plus using ASP.NET, ADO.NET, WPF and Silverlight
-Knowledge of service oriented architecture development patterns and proven experience developing reusable components
-Practical experience with test driven development and continuous integration
-At least 3-5 years of experience developing Microsoft-based enterprise applications.
-Hands-on experience using Visual Studio .NET 2005/8/10, .NET Framework 3.5, TeamCity/TFS
-Knowledge and understanding of low-level transport protocols and delivery mechanisms like FTP, NNTP, SMTP, HTTP, MSMQ and Service Broker.
-Experience with UNIX operating system is a plus
-Experience administering or developing in BizTalk is a plus.
-Creative, innovative with an eagerness to learn and share ideas
-Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
-High motivation level and superior attention to detail
-BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

A leading candidate would have experience in the following solution domains:
-Enterprise Application Integration (transports, messages, transformation, routing, etc)
-Enterprise Content Management (taxonomy, classification, normalization, workflow, versioning, etc.)
-Mobile Web Applications
-Agile Development with Continuous Integration (CC.Net, NAnt, NUnit, etc.)

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
