Position
Summary:
The Director, Biologics Strategy & Business Execution Lead, will report to the Biologics Operating Unit Executive Director, Strategy & Business Excellence.
The Director will be responsible for leading the realization of short-term and long-term strategic initiatives and driving alignment through the network.
This role will lead development and design of key systems, tools, and processes to aid in the advancement of site and network strategies with a continuous improvement & digital first mindset.
The role will oversee key governance forums, facilitate review of key performance indicators and escalations, and be the point of contact for digital initiatives and operational excellence opportunities impacting the Biologics Operating Unit.
The candidate will work collaboratively across Global Product Development & Supply (GPS) to develop consistent systems that can be implemented across the Biologics Operating Unit.
The successful candidate will possess and demonstrate strong business, strategy, and continuous improvement acumen, combined with deep understanding of the biopharmaceutical industry.

Responsibilities:
Identify and lead opportunities for network continuous improvement through evaluation of supply, outsourcing strategies, product strategies and the positioning of supply strategies across the network.
Serve as point of contact for Operational Excellence organization and collaborate on high priority initiatives for the Biologics Operating Unit.
Lead cross-functional projects to support business strategies & execution, develop and implement successful strategies to support uninterrupted product supply.
Drive and serve as contact point for strategic planning processes within the Strategy & Business Excellence organization.
Ensure seamless planning of portfolio management, budgeting and portfolio prioritization cycles.
Monitor execution of plans, measure of results and correct deviations, as appropriate.
Create a climate that fosters personal investment and excellence, nurture commitment to common goals.
Govern and monitor the execution of key initiatives against objectives in terms of progress to plan and desired outcomes.
Deliver updates and recommendations on progress, risks and actions required to attain objectives.
Design and implement new innovative business models and solutions to support harmonization of key processes across the global network.
Coordinate alignment across various workstreams as it relates to network strategy, operational strategy, and site alignment of high-level strategic goals.
Align and coordinate systems for metrics management and data collection among key functions including tracking projects, KPIs and statuses.
Create outputs (reports, dashboards, presentations etc.
) that meet specific information needs of all stakeholders and highlight key actions needed.
Assist in seamless transition and integration of new sites or functions into Biologics Operating Unit, help to navigate throughout BMS, and make the connections to leverage BMS strategy, processes, infrastructure, and systems as appropriate.
Serve as a point of contact for IT, Business Insights & Analytics, and other digital representatives and collaborate on high priority deployments.
Drive adoption of data-driven, empowered decision-making through rollout of digital frameworks and tools with a simplification mindset.
Requirements:
Bachelors in technical field (Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, related life sciences or engineering) with advanced technical degree, MBA, or equivalent experiences desirable.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry, with specific experience in leadership roles.
Thorough understanding of and experience with some aspect of technical operations or CMC; interest and demonstrated ability to learn across several disciplines (manufacturing, quality, supply chain, technical development, regulatory, patient experience, finance, operations, etc.
).
Demonstrated experience in developing, aligning, socializing, monitoring, adapting, and delivering strategies in dynamic, rapidly changing environments.
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and influence cross-functional teams not under direct organizational reporting lines to communicate challenging goals and achieve objectives.
Possesses good financial acumen and skilled in project management and decision analysis.
Strong computer skills.
Experience developing and managing projects/programs including tools for milestones and resources.
Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to accomplish results and meet deadlines and commitments.
Strong interpersonal communications skills.
Shares critical information with project team and senior leaders.
Demonstrated analytical and logic skills with a focus on fact-based decision-making.
Strong analytical, business and financial understanding.

Demonstrated Digital initiatives leadership or participation in rollouts.
