7K a year Autism Speaks is seeking a Content and Resources Coordinator to work with us Part-Time, temporarily approximately 20 hours per week for a minimum of three (3) months potentially longer.
The individual will work from home and can be located anywhere in the US, preferably the East Coast.
Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of autism spectrum disorder; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions.
The Content and Resources Coordinator supports Services and Supports' portfolio of best-in-class information, tools, and resources to address the diverse needs of the autism community.
This position will assist in Services and Supports content creation and promotion and includes research, writing, editing, and coordinating various related promotional activities.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Assist in development and coordination of the delivery of Services and Supports resources, tools, web content, and messaging.
Research and draft content for Services and Supports community stories, resources, and newsletters.
Assist in creation of Services and Supports marketing and promotional material (PowerPoints', flyers, email campaigns, social platform messaging, etc.
) associated with Outreach events, Walks and other engagements with the AS community.
Ensure accessibility of Services and Supports content and resources including available formats, multiple languages, reading levels, and cultural experiences.
Collect data from across the organization including the Autism Response Team to plan for new content and resources that meet the needs of AS constituents.
Work with the social media team to promote and track Services and Supports content across social channels.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education:
Bachelor's degree in Humanities, Journalism, or Communications preferred
Experience:

years of content coordination experience and/or a strong background in writing and content development; journalism, communications, or public relation experience highly preferred Knowledge of autism and experience with individuals with autism and their families highly preferred Writing samples necessary.
Specialized Skills and Knowledge Excellent written communication skills and ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Detail oriented, highly organized, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Solid administrative skills and a high level of proficiency in MS Office products.
