The Associate Director, Leadership Communications will work on engagement efforts for leaders, with focus on creating compelling employee connections.
The role will also help elevate the external reputation of the leaders through media, social media and thought leadership.
This role works across Leadership Communications to create an integrated leader communications strategy that fits within the broader enterprise narrative, and this role will drive high-profile events involving senior members of the Leadership Team.
This position requires an exceptionally high level of comfort interacting, building trust and persuading key stakeholders, including C-suite executives, Corporate Affairs and cross-functional leaders.

Further, this individual is a strategic thinker with a focus on building corporate culture, managing change communications and mobilizing stakeholders to advocate for the company.
Responsibilities:
Draft and manage communications for members of the BMS Leadership Team, working closely with key business partners and leader communicators across the company.
Provide strategic guidance to leaders around various key components of engagement and external communications, including content, channels and engagement, and areas for potential collaboration with internal and external partners (including, but not limited to, programs and events).
Develop editorial plans and manage the editorial process throughout the year.
Measure and regularly report on status/progress of communications to key stakeholders.
Manage and build relationships with a broad internal stakeholder group to ensure consistent and aligned plans and messaging across the company.
Requirements:
Healthcare experience strongly preferred.

years' experience in corporate communications, executive communications, internal and external communications, employee engagement or related field.
Excellent writing and content creation skills required; able to quickly produce clear, compelling, motivating communications.
Strong grasp of storytelling.
Exceptional collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively across the enterprise to drive and scale internal communications strategies worldwide.
Demonstrated ability to influence and advise senior leadership in both communications and business settings.
Strong understanding of how to engage employees and drive corporate culture across both internal and external communications channels.
Strong management and leadership skills.
Superior interpersonal communications skills.
Strong presentation and facilitation skills; ability to engage with and persuade a wide variety of audiences.
Able to quickly learn the business and operate within a complex, fast-paced and changing environmentThis position is based in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, at the Bristol Myers Squibb headquarters.
A 50 percent in-office commitment in Lawrenceville is required.
