7 Princeton, NJ Princeton, NJ Full-time Full-time $20 - $23 an hour $20 - $23 an hour The Make Ready Custodian reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager and indirectly to the Community Manager.
Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the appearance of community models, vacant units and public access areas including office, clubhouse, restrooms, fitness centers, business center and common halls as well as cleaning and maintaining exterior appearance, as required.
Cleaning apartments after move-out and preparing them for new residents, as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Remove all trash from grounds daily.
Sweep sidewalks, driveways on a regular basis Water trees, shrubs, grass as needed.
Assist in trashing out apartments upon move out.
Assist in apartment turns.
Paint and spackle.
Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, club house, management office, fitness center, pool area and other work areas Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
Dusts furniture and equipment.
Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays.
Supports the maintenance team with make-readies and lends a hand to housekeeping when necessary.
Replenishes bathroom supplies.
Replaces light bulbs.
Water trees, cuts; trim grass and shrubs, as required Must be available on notice in even of snow and/or ice and other on-site emergencies.
Distribute flyers and letters to residents, if necessary.
Assist in keeping the Maintenance shop clean at all times.
Responsible for the security of the property at all times.
Keeping all keys to the property in his/her personal possession, and refusing to hand the keys to any unauthorized person.
(Master keys are never to be given to contractors, vendors or other persons not employed by Woodmont Properties.
) Maintain a professional appearance in uniform and display a good attitude at all times.
Be aware of personal hygiene and cleanliness while on the job Report incidents and accidents immediately to your Manager.
Open, close and monitor the hot tub from 11am to 8 PM Wednesday through Sunday, as per New Jersey Bathing Codes (only pertains to a Make Ready Custodian at the Woodmont Station property in Cranford).
Perform daily custodial duties at the communities' common areas.
Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with basic maintenance tasks.
Other duties as assigned.
