Position SummaryInnovation & Digital Health Analytics (IDHA) frequently leads key initiatives in strategic, operational and analytic domains, many of which are highly visible, cross functional, complex (multiple work streams), with significant investment, and innovative in nature.
The Innovation (IDHA) team partners with R&D stakeholders to design and deliver innovative analytics solutions that help them make better decisions, reduce costs and/or drive efficiencies.
Our diverse analytics team of knowledge management experts, data scientists, analysts and data visualization specialists works on multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from piloting new capabilities, to developing cutting-edge approaches, to operationalizing complex solutions.
This position would provide technical project leadership to drive key initiatives forward in alignment with project sponsors and key stakeholders.
We are looking for a passionate project lead who will be able to help drive innovation through the implementation of data-driven solutions that provide insights to our stakeholders at the point of decision-making.
Leading and in collaboration with our Innovation Lab team, this technical project lead will take accountability for all project phases including startup, execution and change management, ensuring the right solution is developed for the right stakeholder at the right time.
Key Responsibilities/Abilities Drive end-to-end data analytics solutions starting with understanding the business requirements, exploring large amount of diverse historical data, assessing new approaches, and building prototypes to advance business use cases and/or deliver business value Engage and collaborate with a diverse team of business stakeholders, analysts, data scientists and IT to translate unstructured, complex business problems into data and information needs and deliver the appropriate data, modeling, and/or analytical solutions Develop data visualizations and/or dashboards in Tableau or tool-of-preference to facilitate metrics reporting & monitoring, insights consumption, and additional analyses Build reusable tools and/or libraries to streamline the data analytics pipeline and sharing knowledge Act as a subject matter expert in analytical methodologies to research, recommend, and implement modeling techniques that is most appropriate for the business problem at hand Ready to advise on maintenance, troubleshooting, refactoring, unit-testing, integration testing, code packaging, dockerization, and documentation of large-scale projects Lead initiatives related to continuous improvement or implementation of new technologies, advising a team to define the business problem, propose the solution approach and support delivery and implementation Independently manages project scope, timelines, goals, strategy, and communication for projects Clearly and efficiently articulates potential risks, timelines, updates Identifies barriers, facilitating solutions and communicating to project sponsors timely and effectively Develop stakeholder relationships and serve as key point of contact on projects Synthesize and communicate results to stakeholders and team through oral and written presentations Trains and effectively transitions projects to stakeholders, providing excellent customer service and efficient hand-off Qualifications BA/BS required 5-7 years of relevant post-collegiate job experience preferred or combination of advanced education Demonstrated competence in data & analytics skillsets such as data mining, data visualization, machine learning, code development in python/R, Github, cloud computing platforms like AWS, model governance with MLFlow or equivalent Maintains a broad perspective when analyzing information and utilizes analytical thought while pushing others to do the same, considering long-term implications.
Uses judgement and creativity in structuring work and finding solutions that are not obvious.
Reviews and assess solutions proposed by others to determine the best path moving forward.
Experience building data access and visualization tools Knowledge of classical machine learning models (Classification, Regression, Clustering, Time-Series Analysis, Dimensionality Reduction etc.
) Familiarity with modern computer vision, computational linguistic and/or transformer-based natural language processing (NLP), Natural Language Generation (NLG), Large Language Models (LLM) frameworks Experience writing quality, well-documented and well-tested code Familiarity with MLOps or other method for monitoring model performance a plus Skills for Success High motivation, strong work ethic, maturity, accountability and personal initiative Passionate about problem-solving, with demonstrated ability to identify root cause and work through challenges Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence, negotiate, and drive organizational engagement.
