About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and Director of Business Operations to join our Experience Business Operations team at Dow Jones.
As the Director, you will play a key hands on role in overseeing and optimizing our business operations functions with our corresponding Technology teams.
By being responsible for capital and opex budgeting and forecasting, vendor management and hiring for your business units, you have the opportunity to assist and advise on optimizing spend and finding creative ways to financially achieve our our goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations and technology management, and the ability to help drive strategic programs to enhance operational efficiency.
The Director, Business Operations will report to the VP of Business Operations for the Technology team.
You Will:
Manage the capital and opex budgeting process including related deliverables and managing the stakeholders for your associated teams Ensure accurate monthly forecasting, tracking, and reporting for your business areas Oversee vendor management activities, including software and software maintenance contract renewals, consulting contracts and renewals and vendor relationship management to ensure effective partnerships Foster strong relationships with our teams, external partners, and vendors to ensure alignment and collaboration on key initiatives - i.

Finance, Sourcing, Human Resources, Sourcing, software vendors, consultant vendors.
Analyze operational data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities in areas such as software, maintenance costs, consulting, T&E, VISA and green card costs.
Help drive process improvements and operational efficiencies by implementing best practices and applying technology solutions and automation where practicable Departmental ad hoc requests and reports as needed You Have:
7-10 years of hands-on experience in financial management roles within the fields of Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a closely related discipline.
A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is required.
Possessing an MBA or relevant advanced degree.
Experience in successfully managing technology finances and in a fast-paced organizational setting.
In-depth knowledge and practical experience in capital and opex budgeting and tracking concepts.
Experience in hiring tracking - as it relates and impacts forecasting and reporting Demonstrated expertise in vendor management:
specifically contract monitoring, overall evaluation, and relationship management.
Exceptional skills in creating impactful presentations that break down financial, headcount and other business operations information in a digestible way for executives and stakeholders alike Proven leadership abilities, with a talent for not only understanding how our cross functional teams and parent company interact, but finding efficiencies and working in tight collaboration - specifically Sourcing, Finance, HR, Technology and several NewsCorp groups Adaptability to excel in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment, skillfully managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines Proficient knowledge of G-Suite applications and their utilization for efficient business operations functions and reporting.
