Responsibilities The Manager of Systems Engineering is responsible to manage and lead a team of engineers that are responsible for global infrastructure services including systems engineering, desktop engineering, ongoing operations, maintenance/upgrades/patching, monitoring, support, backup, recovery, and security of Integra's infrastructure assets. These assets include servers, workstations, and storage in data centers on-premises and in the cloud (Azure). This individual must have sufficient technical expertise in these areas to provide guidance, support, establish future state roadmaps, and prioritize workloads for the team members. The primary objective is to ensure the requirements of the projects are met and the operations are run effectively, efficiently, and securely to enable the business while minimizing risk. The position collaborates with all areas of IS to anticipate and ensure business needs are met. This position works closely with and relies on the deliverables from the Director of Enterprise Technology Architecture. This position currently manages 5 employees/engineers in NJ, NH, and TX. Also oversees some contract workers that report to team members. This position is responsible for global infrastructure services including:
Server management and patching Storage services (eg. Pure) Backup/recovery services (eg. Commvault) Desktop engineering services (eg. SCCM, Windows 11 upgrade project) Core identity services (DNS, DHCP, ADFS, Azure AD, domain controllers) Remote site architecture (aligned with remote teams) Document management (eg. Sharepoint, OneDrive, file servers) Virtualization services:
Desktop (Citrix VDI) and Data Center (VMWare). This position aligns and collaborates with personnel outside of his/her team at Integra's remote sites to ensure reliability and support, as well as being responsible for establishing, communicating, and monitoring global technology standards for compliance in North America, Europe and AsiaPac. This position is also responsible for identifying continuous improvement opportunities for ongoing processes and to strengthen the support model for services globally. RESPONSIBILITIES Manage a team responsible for Integra's systems and desktop engineering and ongoing operational support model to ensure 24 7 support. Manage team members that are in different locations. Set strategy and corresponding objectives/priorities for team members. Conduct annual review sessions to measure individual performance. Create a culture of trust and reliability with a customer-centric mindset. Coach and motivate the team members to balance skills with behaviors focused on improving processes with passion, accountability, urgency, and responsiveness. Work remotely as needed. Identify and manage infrastructure technology assets to ensure clear ownership and adequate support staff based on skillsets of team members. Own and provide guidance to global service owners in a service-management culture. Create functional technology strategies, future state technology roadmaps, capacity planning, and corresponding operating procedures to support the infrastructure. Clearly delegate responsibility and ownership of various tasks/projects/services to individual engineers. Collaborate across multiple organizations to accomplish joint goals. Ability to embrace change to achieve goals. Passion to deliver on commitments and hold others accountable to a high level of integrity. Lead the research of new technologies to improve systems efficiency, effectiveness, reliability, and redundancy. Conduct career dialogues with direct reports to enable and motivate them to manage their careers effectively. Develop people in other geographic regions to strengthen the global support model Provide leadership and execution for Integra's journey toward utilizing more cloud computing services, specifically Azure systems management and cloud security. Maintains relationships with vendors to ensure that systems meet design specifications and supportability.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
