Ingredient functionality and interactions with a strong understanding of Design of experiments. Strong understanding of UHT/HTST processing specific to Microthermics equipment. Proficient in food processing, unit operations (Pilot equipment operation and troubleshooting), material characterization techniques, and nutritional labeling. Leads working sessions and technical to technical customer interactions. Directly supports customers with finished product designs from concept to bench top and industrial scale-up. Demonstrates knowledge of flavor technologies & ingredients, performance in applications and interactions. Works with external collaborators such as academic institutions and business partners to accelerate product development process. Stays informed on relevant industry trends/new ingredients & technologies. Mentors Junior Technologists and provides training on pilot plant equipment use and analytical techniques. Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or Masters in a related field preferred. 5
years of experience in Beverage product development. Strong understanding of Thermal processing (pasteurization, HTST, UHT, and retort) and carbonation. Knowledge of G.M.P's (Good Manufacturing Practices), FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) and H.A.C.C.P (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points). Strong verbal and written communication skills. Good presentation skills including ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audience. Ability to design experiments. Must have computer skills, i.e. MS Office, Outlook, Excel, SAP, and Nutritional labeling software. Strong Project Management skills. We value:
