Our client, a leader in the intermodal industry is looking to hire a Data Quality Analyst for their Princeton, NJ location. The Data Quality analyst works in a fast-paced transaction-intensive environment. Working with other key teams in the Company's information chain such as the EDI Team, the Data Management Team and the Pool Management Team. The Data Quality Analyst will verify transaction volumes for various originators, ensure that the transactions received are complete, and escalate as necessary when variances are identified. In addition, the Data Quality Analyst will be responsible for facilitating resolution of data issues and data-related process issues. The Data Quality Analyst performs this role by working through various Excel models as well as other tools, and by working with other resources in IT as well as throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

Verifying EDI transaction volumes by location, event type, steamship line, and other criteria
Ensuring all fields are populated in the transactions received
Ensuring accurate information is received such as Using Line, Consignee, MC SCAC, Equipment Type, Equipment Size, etc.
Ensuring that the received transactions have not transposed columns of information or have provided extra information that is not needed
Ensuring other key transaction criteria is received and is valid
Diagnosing and resolving data issues
Working with developers to resolve process or application issues
Working with Business Analysts and Pool Managers to configure and help test Steamship Line (SSL) conversions.
Working with SSLs to resolve SSL data issues
Timely escalation to management for any issues identified

Requirements

Solid analytical skills
Ability to learn quickly
Strong interpersonal, and communication skills
Hands-on experience with Excel
Ability to work effectively with little supervision
Ability to learn other tools as provided
Ability to engage in root-cause analysis
Ability to identify problems and implement timely solutions
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workloads and handle multiple tasks

Required experience
Experience in a prior data analysis role
Experience in using tools such as Excel to perform a significant part of their prior job functions
Knowledge of EDI processing would be a plus
Experience in logistics or transportation would be a plus
Experience with basic SQL (SELECTS, JOINS, etc.) would be a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
